Spancrete Expands Preconstruction Services, Brings on New Leader

Offering an integrated and collaborative approach to precast planning

Spancrete has built a team to better serve customers in the planning stage of construction projects, creating a more integrated and collaborative experience. Kelly Weis has been brought on as Director of Preconstruction and Construction at the company’s corporate headquarters, located in Waukesha, Wis.

Weis has led more than 1,000 retail and construction projects throughout the U.S. in the last 13 years. His experience with the full building cycle and reputation for consistency in managing projects will be an asset in collaborating with multiple stakeholders during the preconstruction process. He is also responsible for managing estimating, bidding and coordinating project schedules and general construction installation requirements. Weis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

“We are excited to have Kelly join our team to enhance this important part of our business,” said Jeff Winters, Vice President of Business Development and Construction Services, Spancrete. “Dedicating a team exclusively to the planning stages will provide opportunities for more virtual design and innovation in partnership with our customers, and help to identify areas for value engineering.”

Spancrete’s preconstruction service team provides customers with opportunities for collaboration throughout the planning stages – virtually designing the project to ensure resources and budgets are maximized in an effort to optimize design and deliver on the client’s vision. The team consists of 20 professionals with varying backgrounds in the construction industry covering finance, design and operations. Their diversity helps see the “big picture” from project conception to completion.
