Designed as an introduction to precast/prestressed products, the audience will gain a basic understanding of how prestressing concrete works, what products are available, and how a design professional can use precast to achieve design goals.

Designing with Precast/Prestressed Hollowcore Concrete — HLCR06
This course instructs participants about hollowcore products, and how to design and build utilizing hollowcore floors and walls. Participants also learn about the inherent fire resistance of hollowcore, a major life-safety consideration. After this program, participants will be able to: identify different precast, prestressed hollowcore concrete systems; explain the benefits of using hollowcore concrete; and discuss the benefits of using hollowcore concrete with owners and other designers.

Architectural Precast Applications — AP007
Participants will learn about the practical application of a wide variety of architectural precast solutions. The discussion explores design choices and cost considerations.

Parking Structures Design and Construction — P006
In this course, participants will learn how to improve security and lighting in parking structures and the inherent safety issues. The course also explores architectural treatment options for facades which can make garages more aesthetically pleasing. Participants will also discuss parking structure leakage and learn about a construction procedure to avoid leakage.

Total Precast Systems — TOPRST
After this program, participants will be more familiar with what a total precast concrete structure is, how a total precast structure can benefit a project, and what components are used to construct a total precast structure. Participants will also learn how to manage a successful project.
