Spancrete faced a key challenge in matching the color and texture of the brick portions of this 356,000-square-foot facility with the precast panels being supplied. A blend of Merrimac and Amberlite along with color additives proved to offer the perfect match. Erection of the panels onto the precast structural system went smoothly but required close coordination with the contractor due to the project's large size. Communication also was critical to erect panels on the steel trusses that were used to span the 130-foot-wide gymnasium.
