Spancrete Expands Design Services with New Technology and New Hires

As Spancrete continues its journey of innovation, the world leader in precast, prestressed concrete building solutions is putting a greater focus on collaborative building design and modeling using cutting edge virtual design technologies. To support these efforts, the company has added two new design team members, Claudio Betances Maxwell-Merrill and Robert Russell.

New virtual design technology provides Spancrete and its customers with an even better understanding of the scope, look and details of a project before construction even begins.

“We’re proud to offer precast services right from project conception all the way through to completion,” said Spancrete President and COO Al Antoniewicz. “As design technology improves, so does our vision of what we can achieve with our customers.”

The design team works closely with the business development, project management, engineering and operations departments. Russell explains, “Once we bring the design to life through the model, our goal is to work together to ensure a seamless transition between phases and ultimately a successful project.” Maxwell-Merrill and Russell both work in the design phase of construction projects to develop virtual models and designs, turning concept into reality.

Antoniewicz added, “There’s nothing more satisfying than watching a precast project become reality, and virtual design is an exciting, growing part of that process. With additions to our team, we’re committed to staying on the forefront of design technology.”

Maxwell-Merrill joins Spancrete with over 18 years of experience in drafting and project design, and Russell has over 35 years of experience including architectural, civil, structural, and interior design as well as Revit design expertise.
