Governor Walker helps to cut ribbon on new Spancrete transportation facility
Governor Scott Walker today helped Spancrete® celebrate the opening of its new transportation facility in Valders, Wisconsin, by attending a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Spancrete® recently invested $4.5 million on the 100-acre facility, which is vital in producing precast, prestressed concrete for the U.S. Highway 41 renovation project, the Milwaukee airport spur and many other precast concrete infrastructure projects throughout the state. The Spancrete® Valders location is currently home to over 275 union and non-union jobs, and investment and growth is expected to bring 30 new jobs to the area.
“It was a great honor to have Governor Walker join us for this historic occasion,” says Spancrete® chairman and CEO John Nagy. “Our new transportation production facility is a vital step in our commitment to Building Innovation, and we look forward to the many great opportunities that the transportation facility will bring to our organization.”
